All of our bargain books are brand new, perfectly readable and represent a tremendous value! The bargain books are, however, publisher overstocks and remainders that TRW purchases at deep discounts. As a result, they may have a small mark through the UPC bar code or a small mark on the side of the book. This is simply to mark the books so they cannot be sent back to a publisher. Because of this, bargain books are non returnable to TRW unless they are damaged. Please consider this before ordering.

Annotation: Anger management, arguments with friends, jealousy, and bullying are among the subjects addressed in these titles. Chatty texts keep the content interesting, and cartoon children with dialogue balloons add interest to each situation. Each book includes four scenarios. For example, in Friends, "Mister Bossy" attempts to push kids around on the soccer field. In a "Talking It Through" section, a teacher, friend, and parent all give the aggressive boy advice. "Bossy leaders are not good leaders," instructs his mom. Lewis explains how he resolves his problem on a notebook-paper illustration. Each title concludes with a quiz to check for understanding. Unfortunately, life's problems are not always so easily resolved, but the texts could be useful starting points for further discussion. Talking things out, no matter what the problem, is the main focus. Effective titles best suited for one-on-one sharing or a classroom setting. - Cynde Suite, Bartow County Library System, Adairsville, GA
