Publisher Description: Abhirami Anthadhi is a Tamil collection of poems sung on goddess Abhirami resided in Thirukkadaiyur Amirtaghatesvarar Sivan Temple, situated in Tamil Nadu, India. This poetry was composed by Abhirami Bhattar lived in 18th century CE, a contemporary to Serfoji I of Tanjore. There are hundred stanzas plus a (Kappu, protection) verse for lord Ganesha and final (Paya, outcome), totally 102 stanzas are included in Abhirami anthadhi.The author praises Abhirami as his own mother, and regretting for his mistakes, the divine play of mother with father Sivan, and the simplicity and mercy of her. It is believed that recitation of each stanza will result specific achievement for the devotees. |
