Contributor Bio(s): Merlan, Paula: - Paula was born a sunday morning in Vigo (Pontevedra). After graduating in Law, she sook her vocation as an educator, graduating in Education years later. Her lessons in reading encouragement got her to start creating stories, and in 2012 she published her first picture book, while also winning the Children's Books Without Borders Contest by Otxarkoaga with her ¿Conoces la magia de Marit?, a book published in Braille in collaboration with ONCE (National Organization of Spanish blind people). She also obtains a Special Mention in the Casila Ordólez Children's Books Contest for her Virtuoso Melodías. She currently teaches first grade, and has published ten books, some of them in multiple languages.Gomez: - She studied Fine Arts at the well-known University of Salamanca (Spain). A new talent, she has worked for several publishing houses in Europe, such as SM in Spain, Le Petit Bulles Edition in France, and Scholastics and Sterling in the USA. Her book Hedgehog and Rabbit. The Scary Wind is a Junior Library Guild Selection.
