Publisher Description: This is a storyteller's story. A fictitious tale of the Inupiat legends of Qailertang, (Quil-er-ta-tang) and her sister Sedna, (Ced-nagh). The story begins with Dusty a young Inupiat girl who spends her former years under the strict care of her foster mother Aunt T. Under her tutelage she is brought up with several conflicting ideas of what is right, for girls, is not necessarily right, for boys. During her youth a boy is introduced to Aunt T's all girl foster home and several adventures the two fall in love, but must contend with a malcontent, Daniel. He has his small posse who attempt to terrorize them. Their main focus is how to get back at Dusty Rose for infringing on their work and livelihoods. Their jealousy rages and is all encompassing as Dusty grows into womanhood. Their focus is on how to bring this woman and her friends to heel. Follow along as she discovers her true identity. |
