Book 1: From Komodo to Places Unknown

The biggest hunger is the hunger for adventure.

Komodo National Park. Home to beautiful forests, wonderful beaches and some of the most unique wildlife species around. It is a popular tourist attraction and thousands flock there every year with excitement in their hearts.

Nevertheless, it might not be amazing enough for some. Yes, believe it or not...

Blake, a young Komodo dragon who lives in the park is tired of his surroundings and wants a change. He wants adventure. And he is not alone. Mike the macaque and Sammy the Rinca rat, his friends, are desperate to leave and travel around the world as well. This can only mean one thing.

An adventure is about to begin.

However, danger awaits the trio. They just don't know it yet...

Book 2: Change of Plans

A thrilling twist has thrown our friends off course...

Blake and Co. had it hard enough being on a ship full of humans, but now it's just gotten much worse.

After being thrown off the cruise ship, the trio is left drifting in a storm. Waves crash over them and Blake fears that his time has come...until they reach land.

But where are they?

The journey continues, but now the Komodo dragon must face the biggest fact he's ever encountered: he is no longer the most dangerous predator of the land. Elephants, buffalos, lions, crocodiles and more; Blake has just stepped into something much bigger than he or his friends could even hope to handle.

The African savannas stand before our heroes and with them, the greatest predators of the world.

Book 3: End of the Road

The clash of titans has finally arrived.

All great stories must come to an end.

After their shipwreck on the Tanzanian coasts, Blake, Mike and Sammy explored their new lands, but they were soon attacked and the Rinca rat was lost. After a brief battle, Mike and Blake are led by their new vulture friend, Fred, to look for their rodent companion.

However, Sammy isn't lost. She's a captive of a highly-dangerous lion pride led by a powerful big cat named Astorious.

Meanwhile, the feared hunter Vicente Alessi has just arrived on the scene and seen the Komodo dragon through the scope of his rifle. No longer does the poacher want to find a rhino like he'd initially gone to Tanzania for - now it's all about capturing the great lizard he's always wanted to hunt.

A great three-way battle is about to explode, and only the bravest and strongest of them all will survive.

Reaching Europe is no longer a priority; now all our heroes care about is surviving.

Will Blake, Mike and Sammy reunite and get out of Africa? Or will Vicente finally take a Komodo dragon home as a trophy?

A Wayward Dragon is a tale of adventure, friendship and struggle which takes three curious animals across the world - from Komodo Island to the Indian Ocean, from the Serengeti to the European continent itself. It has been written for children in an attempt to raise awareness on real-world issues such as endangered species, wildlife conservation and illegal poaching, among others; all while keeping an amazing story going that they shall not forget.
