Publisher Description:
This a Call & Response, fictional story made up of several stories relating to the fatherless. It's directed to all children, youth, and adolescents who was abandoned by their father, never knew their father, is adopted who don't know their biological father; those in foster care who don't have a father they can call their own, and so on. It speaks to the fatherless child. It speaks to the child within the adult to assist in the healing process. No matter your race, creed, background, religious affiliation, or gender; growing up without a father leaves the same painful, crimson stain, and the same emptiness as does the absence of a mother. Living with the absence of an emotional healthy, whole, productive, loving father usually develops feelings of low self-worth, low self-esteem, feelings of abandonment, and inadequacies in any child resulting in a greater need for validation, acceptance, love, and guidance. We all know that these feelings can lead to some unwanted behaviors, acting out, and unhealthy habits no one should want for their child whether biological or not. We should want the best for our children; for them to succeed to greater heights in all areas of their life far beyond what we've done. Positive role models in a family unit, and proper validation, love, protection, and acceptance is imperative in a child's life. Sometimes it's worse when a father is present, yet absent emotionally, or is abusive to the child(ren), mother, or both; suffering far greater damage than the absent father, or father figure would do.I dedicate this book to all the children who, like myself who doesn't (or didn't) have a positive male, father figure in their life, or any father to help guide them through the process of childhood to adulthood. I've learned to call Jesus Christ my Abba Father. The best dad I could ever haveParental discretion is advised. Choose your story. For ages 7 & up depending on the story of your choosing and the child, the child's comprehension and reading level; use discretion of the parent/adult. It entails sensitive issues, diverse opinions, and content that may or may not be offensive.
