The book does not answer all questions surrounding bullying; it does not preach either. Rather, it will begin conversations on why we bully, or watch it happen and it presents the idea that everyone has the choice to not participate in it. |
Contributor Bio(s): Groenendyk, Doretta: - Doretta Groenendyk, a painter, writer and teacher, lives with her family on a small spot of land in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. Doretta is the illustrator of the children's book Bounce & Beans & Burn and the author and illustrator of several books, including Hockey Morning Noon and Night, I'm drawing a picture, I'm Writing a Story, Bully 101 and Step Outside. Her books Snow for Christmas and Thank You for My Bed both have been shortlisted for the Lillian Shepherd Memorial Award for Excellence in Illustration.
