With Caroline, Fiona and Sebastian - who intends to be a musician, Veronica's year is full of escapades, squabbles and hard work. Allowed to take lessons, she is finally "seen" in a performance and promised an audition. The climax is an exciting race to get to London in time for the show. Breathless but relatively discerning.
