This book is full of 100 writing prompts. Each prompt has accompanying examples of how to use the prompt. If you use the examples as prompts also, you'll have 400 writing prompts or exercises. These are designed to be timed exercises of 15 minutes, but you can use the exercises however you'd like. There are four sections in the book, breaking up the exercises into four categories: Random Words, First Line, Names, and Settings. If you combine a prompt from each of the four categories, you could use that as an exercise starter as well. So if you mix and match the prompts, you'll have much more than 400 exercises to work with.
