The Mankspiel/Mansfield And Related Families traces the family of Elijah Mansfield who was born in 1775 and died in about 1871 at the age of 96 in Logan County, Kentucky. His ancestorage is then listed and the descendants of Jacob Mankspiel is then given. The wife of Elijah Mansfield was Susannah Pierce. Her entire family was killed in an Indian raid when she was a small girl. She was then taken in and raised by the family of General Benjamin Logan. Elijah Mansfield was closely associated with General Logan. He of course met Susannah and were married. General Logan gave his consent for her to marry in 1795. This genealogy will also list the family of General Logan and thus show how important the Logans were to the Mansfield family. The ancestors of Virginia Wade Spillman are also listed in this genealogy of the Mansfield family.
